Argyle Dreams by CreativeExcess Argyle Dreams by CreativeExcess
I wanted to go with a theme for this one and it was meant to be spring. I was going to put beaded flowers and leaves on it but after I completed the argyle pattern on the ring it wanted me to do other not spring like things to it. I did somewhat return to the spring theme by putting the little green/yellow sun in the center. Something that is difficult to make out in the picture is that the web is made of three different colors; transparent white, transparent light blue, and transparent light aqua.

7 inch brass crafting ring, size 15 seed beads, size 11 bugle beads, assorted glass beads and brass bells. Roughly 60 hours to make, I think.

Wow, that's amazing!

I particularly like the stitch used for the Bugle beads. Basket weave? I've never seen it before - it looks great :P

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I guess it's called basketweave I had never seen it before I did it but I'm sure it's been done before.

Indeed - there's nothing new under the sun :-)

I really like it, though - its a lovely piece of work.

I have to say that most recently I've been playing with yarn, but the next time I'm beading I'll have to try out that stitch.

Congratulations on finishing and creating such a marvelous piece. I understand what you're talking about when you say that it wanted you to do things to it other than what you had originally planned - It happens to me more often than I would like. :XD: But when it brings about something like this... no worries. :D

 Thank you, this is the first I've made that's really been close to the concept I have in my head in regards to how it catches the light and moves with the wind.

I'm glad you like it  I think it is my best so far. The way it captures light is exactly what I've been striving for with all of them so far. I'm not even sure it's going to make it to etsy, some family members have expressed a keen interest in it.
