So, I've read this blog post
[link] so many times. Whenever I feel like I'm losing my way or forgetting why I'm walking the path I am I read it again. Among other things it poses three questions.
What is most important to you?
What makes you happy?
What would you do for free?
It talks about making three priorities, that if you have more than three then you might as well have none, the point being that if you spread yourself between too many priorities then they aren't a priority at all.
It also introduced me to the Maker's Schedule
[link] the idea is that creators work on entirely different schedules than non-creators. Of course, I think this is something we artists have known for some time but it's nice being validated on something that makes you question your sanity so much. Being an artist is crazy work. Anyway, read this shit, it's good for you.
Thank you again!
I've only just started to work on it, but when I have it all written down in some organized manner, I think I might post it online so it can help others.
